This house, as the Palestinian Authority, would advocate for a one state solution rather than a two state one.
The "one-state solution" refers to a resolution of the Israeli–Palestinian conflict through the creation of a unitary state, which would encompass all of the present territory of Israel, including East Jerusalem and the Golan Heights, as well as the West Bank (including areas under the current control of the Palestinian Authority) and the Gaza Strip.
The two-state solution envisages the creation of an independent Palestinian state alongside the State of Israel. The exact boundary between the two states is still subject to dispute and negotiation, however it is likely that a Palestinian state would include the West Bank and the Gaza Strip.
