THBT governments should actively incentivise people to move away from areas with few viable economic activities

Numerous states worldwide have special support for individuals staying in rural areas with few viable economic activities. Incentives that the state can provide include lower taxes, cheaper housing and jobs. Alternatively some states support individuals to move away from such areas instead, using similar incentives.

THR the glorification of the stock market

'Going public' is the act of splitting a company into multiple 'shares' or 'stocks' and opening these shares up for sale on the stock market. The value of the shares are directly pegged to the company, i.e, if the company is doing well, the value is higher and if the company is performing poorly, the value is lower. Thus, the person who buys the share now faces direct consequences proportional to the performance of the company. The rapid emergence of 'stock markets' (markets where shares are traded) broke down large monopolies in industries like the oil industry but also propagated an extensive culture of risky investment, in order to gain profits.
