This House Believes that the signatories of the Paris Agreement should criminalize the denial of human-created climate change
The Paris Agreement is an agreement within the United Nations dealing with the mitigation of greenhouse gas emissions. Under the Paris Agreement, each participating country must determine, plan, and regularly report on the contribution they are making to mitigate global warming.
The denial of human-created climate change involves denial, dismissal, or unwarranted doubt that contradicts the scientific opinion on climate change, including the extent to which it is caused by humans, or its impacts on nature.
